The following criteria determine if a candidate is required to file financial disclosure documents:
- All candidates for the office of Mayor of Sullivan County, Bluff City, and Kingsport (Bristol Mayor is appointed, not elected)
- All candidates for any office for which compensation exceeds $1,000 monthly or $12,000 annually
- All candidates for any office who spend more than $1,000 seeking election to public office
LOCAL CANDIDATE DISCLOSURES
Sullivan County Election Commission is proud to be the first county in
the state of Tennessee to offer candidates for local office the
opportunity to file campaign financial disclosures online. In
doing so we are improving the efficiency of our operation, offering
candidates a much simpler way to file reports, and making government
more transparent by providing the general public instant access to all
Candidates who have open accounts from a previous campaign and
candidates in the 2017 Municipal Election who are required to file
financial disclosures are the first to utilize the new online reporting.

STATE CANDIDATE DISCLOSURES
for Governor, State Senate, State House of Representatives, Criminal
Court Judge, Circuit Court Judge, Chancellor, and District Attorney are
all required to file campaign financial disclosures with the State
Registry of Election Finance.
